In this article we chat with Angeline – Founder of The Tiny Trove that makes handmade little batches of play dough specially curated for kids wanting to conjure up wild and amazing creations.
What is the inspiration behind The Tiny Trove?
The Tiny Trove was created with our little human in mind. Seeing little Avery enjoying herself with the homemade play dough in a sensory class, I was intrigued to make some for her to play! The play dough recipe testing started and after many late nights, numerous failed attempts and tons of playing, The Tiny Trove Play Dough was finally born.
They say a business is like a baby too – do you have a favourite memory of your kids and the business-baby?
Instead of a particular memory, the whole process was enjoyable. Like taking care of a baby, everything was so new to me and it was a whole new exploration period. However I enjoy the process of seeing Avery and the business grow together.
As a busy parent, please share some tips & hacks when it comes to feeding and getting your kiddos fed.
Thankfully, Avery is not a picky eater and she enjoys her veg. As long as there is her favourite food like broccoli, carrot or tomatoes, feeding is a breeze.
How has your perspective changed after becoming a parent, and how has this affected your business?
Running the business is like taking care of a baby. It takes a lot of patience for you to nurture them and it’s not always straightforward. It takes a lot of trial and error for you to get the methods right so don’t be afraid to try new things and make mistakes!
